Is my organisation eligible?

Under INTERREG IVC:

Please note this is a revenue programme.

Projects must involve partners from at least three POWER Regions:  Andalucia (Spain), Malopolska (Poland), Noord-Brabant (The Netherlands), South East England (UK), Stockholm (Sweden) and Tallinn (Estonia).

Please note that Italy has already committed all its funding on the first call for proposal, therefore no Italian partners will participate in the second call.

Please check below the eligibility map.

Other regions are able to participate but only as a strategic partner and at their own cost.

We strongly advise potential bidders to check your organisaton’s eligibility and compliance with State Aid, early on in the process, before you invest time and effort in forming a partnership and putting together an application.

Click here for information on the Legal Status of your organistion.

The private sector (i.e. profit-making organisations or NGOs which do not fulfill the requirements mentioned above) can participate in projects at their own cost.

Furthermore and subject to procurement rules, the private sector can be sub-contracted by partners to provide services or to assist in the implementation of certain activities.  Sub contracted activity must not exceed 50% of the overall budget.

How much match funding do I need?

The amount of match funding you require depends on where the organisation is based.
     • Organisations based in
South East England, Emilia-Romagna, Andalucia, Noord-Brabant, Stockholm will receive 75% ERDF funding, 25% matchfunding has to be provided by the partners themselves.

     • Organisations in the Malopolska and Tallinn Regions will receive 85% ERDF funding and need to provide 15% match funding.

Cash-flow required:

It is not possible to receive an advance payment from the ERDF under the INTERREG IVC programme. This means that each project has to able to pre-finance its activities.  The delay between incurring a cost and payment of the ERDF grant can reach up to 10 months.

1st call for projects:

The POWER partner regions have assessed the eleven applications received under the first call. A decision was taken on 30 June 2009 at the International POWER steering committee in Brussels. The International Steering Committee agreed to award funding to four sub projects from the first call, subject to conditions. Four projects were approved under the first call.
