Paolo Cagnoli

 

Paolo is an engineer who started his career as researcher in the field of urban planning at the University of Bologna. He then worked as an environmental engineer of the Emilia-Romagna Region and as a professor at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Environmental Engineering Faculty, in the course of Environmental Marketing and Communication. Paolo joined ARPA Emilia-Romagna (Emilia-Romagna Environmental Protection Agency) in 1997 and is now working as responsible of the office of Energy, Environmental Impact Assessment, Strategic Environmental Assessment, with many projects in the field of environmental engineering (environmental assessment of plans, programmes and projects prepared by the Emilia-Romagna Region, environmental accounting and budgeting applied at regional and local scales, training session for environmental engineering, planning and design, etc.).

Wanny Chan
 
Wanny Chan is the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Policy Officer for the Noord-Brabant region. Wanny graduated with a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Tilburg University in 2004, followed closely by a Master of Science degree in International Business in 2005. Upon graduation Wanny commenced with the Province of Noord-Brabant as a Management Trainee at the Department of Internal Affairs and completed her two-year traineeship at the Department of Economic Development, undertaking professional training to join the Innovation & Entrepreneurship team.
 
In addition to POWER, Wanny is also responsible for the Innovation Alliance network and for stimulation of Innovative Knowledge Valorisation with SMEs and Knowledge Institutes.
 
Wanny was born in Eindhoven and speaks Cantonese, Dutch and English fluently.

Agata Wesolowska

Agata holds M.A. in International Relations and Latin American Studies. She started her career managing her own business. To be more flexible in future career path she also worked for NGOs and had trainee periods in Ministry and in private entrepreneurs. She joined the ETC Unit in Department of Regional Policy in Marshal Office in 2007. Agata speaks Polish, German and English and is presently learning Spanish.

María Luisa Borra Marcos

Marisa Borra has lived in United States of America. Andalusia's Regional Correspondent holds a masters degree in European Law form the Free University of Brussels, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Seville and the University of Seville. Marisa has ample experience in European projects through her work at the European Commission, General Directorate of Regional Policies, as well as being the responsible for International projects at the Andalusian Energy Agency, where she has participated as Project Leader for setting up the OPET office, Research & Development Programme from the European Commission, and was the responsible for the ENER-IURE project related to the study of Energy Legislation of 15 Member States, as well as cooperation projects within North Africa and Latin America.

Marisa participates as speaker in diverse International Conferences and coordinates different working groups at Spanish level. Collaborating with the Industrial Business School of Seville teaching energy related programmes. Her main interest is regional development, innovation, environment and energy, working as regional correspondent as a link between research, business and market operators in Andalusia interesting in European collaborative programmes.

Marisa speaks Spanish, English and French and is currently interested in learning German.

Joanna joined the Stockholm Region Representation in Brussels 4 years ago. As a Policy Officer she monitors EU affairs with special focus on research and development, innovation and education. She also works with thematic events and information activities, and has been involved in several EU projects. Joanna has been studying Political Science at Master level at the University of Stockholm and holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Södertörn University College in Sweden.
